Rewind Of The Week: Ray J's First Music Video
A flashback to Ray-J's very first music video, "Let it Go," off of his first album "Everything You Wanted".
Ray J has been the subject of many news articles recently, due to his relationship with Whitney Houston (which he denies) as well as his infamous fling with Kim Kardashian, but we wanted to take things back to his roots.
Although at 16 the young star had numerous connections available, like his multi-platinum sister Brandy and cousin Snoop Dogg, Ray J still had to make a name for himself and create a fan base.
The rewind takes you back to July 1997 when Ray J filmed his very first music video for his single "Let it Go," off of his first album "Everything You Wanted". Ray describes those tunes as being "funky with a hip-hop feel."
When Ray J is asked where he and his sister get their raw talent from, he thanks his father, William Norwood Sr., and says that watching him singing in the church choir motivated him and Brady to sing.
